Living Through a Car Window marks Brown's first full-length release, a collection of dreamy indie-pop textures with influence of his family’s rich history as country music pioneers. He is, after all, the great-nephew of Dolly Parton. This album is built for long drives and open windows, taking you back to some of your most formative years. These stories of first love, heartbreak, and everything in between are rooted in the young adult experience, but are relatable far beyond just one age group.
On this 12-track release, Leroy also features his great-aunt and country music icon Dolly Parton on “willow tree,” a standout song that pays homage to his Appalachian roots. This marks the pair’s second release together, following the 2024 family album Smoky Mountain DNA: Family, Faith and Fables feature "Being Me," a co-write between the two.
